If you’re excited to apply AI to meaningful, regulated problems - and own mission-critical systems from day one - let’s talk.
About the role
Join our core engineering team building AI systems for providers. You’ll ship production features end-to-end: design, implement, evaluate, and iterate - owning real outcomes for clinicians, ops teams, and patients.
What you’ll do
- Design and build services for data ingestion, normalization, and privacy-preserving model training/inference.
- Develop retrieval/RAG pipelines, evaluation harnesses, and safety/guardrail layers.
- Ship APIs, CLIs, and internal tools; instrument with tracing, metrics, and alerting.
- Collaborate with clinicians/ops to translate messy requirements into reliable software.
- Maintain security, compliance, and quality (HIPAA/GDPR, SOC2-ready practices).
What you’ll bring
- 4+ years building production systems (or equivalent impact).
- Experience with one or more: LLMs, information retrieval, NLP, data platforms, or distributed systems.
- Pragmatic engineering: tests, CI/CD, observability, performance tuning, cost awareness.
- Comfort with cloud infra (AWS/GCP), containers, and relational/NoSQL databases.
- Bias to ship, learn from data, and raise the bar for code quality and security.
Nice to have
- Healthcare data (FHIR/HL7/X12), RCM, EHR integrations, PHI handling.
- Vector databases, embeddings, prompt/finetune workflows, offline evaluation.
